3 Wheel Travel System: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

3 Wheel Travel System: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

A Three-Wheel Travel System Is Slimmer and Narrower Than Other Strollers

Three-wheel travel systems are slimmer and more compact than other strollers. This makes them easier to maneuver in small spaces. These types of systems are typically ideal for city dwellers.

This luxury travel system has been designed to adapt to the needs of your family. The stroller can be easily converted to a toddler stroller and the car seat can be easily snapped into a base to keep in your vehicle.

Its convenient zip-out MaxShade extension can be expanded to offer even more coverage. The open, zipper-out peek-aboo window lets you monitor your child.

Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat

The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile, multi-purpose stroller. It can be converted from a single stroller into a double stroller by adding an additional seat (sold separately) or a glider board. It can also be configured to create a triple-travel system by adding an infant bench seat or car seat. It offers 24 configurations in total and is the top-rated stroller. This model is made with Baby Jogger’s soft, breathable and sustainably sourced TENCEL fabrics. They help regulate temperature. It features a premium leatherette handlebar and bumper bar and comes with a belly bar. It folds 20 percent smaller than the leading single-to-double stroller, UPPAbaby Vista V2, and is also lighter.

It features a medium-sized shade and an open-air window with a magnet, that is simple to close or open. The telescoping handlebars are one of the most simple to adjust and works for parents of all heights. The seats recline and there is an adjustment button for the footwell to help you place your child in the most comfortable position. The storage bin is spacious with plenty of space, but we would have preferred to have a more secure latch. The bin is easy to open, but the zippers are a bit frustrating because they have to be removed and refastened after every use.

The City Select, like its counterparts, has single-action brakes that are easy to install and release by pulling a lever located on the frame side lower than the handlebar. It is sandal- and barefoot friendly and a step up from the awkward levers for brakes that other competitors use.

This is the only stroller we've reviewed in our review that is able to accept two infant car seats, making it a great option for twins or for parents with one kiddo and a baby on the way. It can fit the majority of infant car seats from the major brands with an adapter. We tested it with the Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30 and Graco Click Connect models and also the Cybex Aton, Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.

The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is a good option for families that already have a car seat but are looking for a stroller that can accommodate it. However, you might be better served with another convertible stroller in this case.
